I got an airfryer!!!! I first wanted to get the one from Philips. Then I saw one from Hyundai that almost exactly the same and it's 50% off from a group buy site. I just had to get it after I saw all the pictures online of people using them to make fried chicken wings! I got this air fryer for about $120 USD. Not too bad, right? I just had to try it out today. I love tofu!!!!! So, I decided to make air fried tofu today. I went to the super market to get a bag of panko (bread crumbs), a block of tofu and eggs.
This is the result!!!! Doesn't it look delicious?
Too be honest, it is not as tasty/aromatic as when you deep fry it with oil. However, for someone who is on a diet, me, it satisfy my needs of having deep fried food.
Here is what I needed.
1 block of tofu
100g panko (bread crumb)
1/2 table spoon flour
Cut the tofu in to bite sizes, similar to a chicken mcnugget. I could make 16 pieces of tofu from 1 block of tofu. Beat the egg, add in flour and mix until smooth. Add in hint of salt and pepper for taste. Dip the tofu into the egg mix, take it out and then roll it around in panko. Then I just put the tofu carefully into the airfryer and fried it for 10min.
I also got some mushroom, coated it with egg and panko and fried it. Love them.
This is the Hyundai airfryer~
